St. Joseph Health Centre is a registered level 3B faith-based and non-profit health institution, located in Kahawa Wendani Estate off Thika Superhighway, behind Kahawa Wendani Primary school. It was established in 2004 and is under the leadership of St. Joseph Catholic Church Kahawa Sukari in the Archdiocese of Nairobi in a bid to help and answer to the need of the the community especially mothers and children, vulnerable groups in society and for people living with HIV.
Our mission is to offer quality health care services that are accessible, affordable and holistic, inspired by Christian values to restore hope to humanity.
The facility’s administrative body is overseen by a Board of Management who take care of matters governance while providing support for smooth running of the Health Center. The management implements the organization’s strategic objectives to ensure smooth day to day delivery of services.

Our mission is to offer quality health care services that are accessible, affordable and holistic, inspired by Christian values to restore hope to humanity.

We operate 24 hours around the clock, our doors are always open to serve immediate community and our environs. We also have an ambulance on standby for emergency cases that arise in the facility. We are readily equipped with a total of 28 competent staff who treat patients with intent, love and care. Among the staff are three specialists; a gynecologist, a sonographer and a pediatrician who help take care of patients requiring more specialized care. Â A wide range of services is offered here including: Antenatal care (ANC), Child welfare clinic (CWC), Outpatient, CCC, Maternity, Pharmacy, Gynecology clinic, Ultrasound, Pediatrics, cancer screening and more.

- Answer to the needs of the community surrounding us by providing solutions to their needs.
SJHC strives to protect, nurture and enhance the value and sacredness of life. This is achieved through various Projects carried out in the organization, with keen attention to mother and child welfare. In 2020, St Joseph Health Centre launched a maternity to ensure mothers deliver safely. The program rolled out successfully and though hampered by lack of NHIF accreditation, it has so far impacted the lives of 185 mothers and children. Another key area the facility has focused on is PMTCT (prevention of mother to child transmission) for mothers living with HIV. We have been able to ensure that this is completely eliminated and no mother has transmitted HIV to their child in the last 5 years.
Going forward, we aim to continue serving Christ through serving people and especially to the needy people in the society and to provide the most affordable services to all people.
